Technical Burn Out

This is just actually only my own term for what is happening. What is actually burning out is me, due to so many technical problems with a super long to-do list. I can barely finish due to physical exhaustion. I have a web hosting, design and development business I can barely manage with the lack of the proper tool and with the presence of continuous growth. With this continuous growth I decided to make my 2007 a passing selling year and just concentrate on my systems.

  • My Billing System - I am buying AccountLabPlus, It can easily integrate with my whole hosting business, domain business, has a good trouble ticket system and will solve many of the billing headaches I have.
  • My Project Management System - I will working a lot with ActiveCollab, since this is powerful and fully opensource and will get my whole team on the learning curve of using this.
  • My Customer Support System - Although AccountLabPlus has a good trouble ticket system included with it, I will signup with a good VOIP company which I am undecided yet who I am going to sign up with and activate a 1-800 number and employ a home-based techsupport chick in the Philippines. Don’t know who yet also. And she will work on working hours of Pacific Standard Time.

Since I also work full time and I also do business full time after work, this is a real burnout. But what the heck, I need to face it. I’m just really burned out and working like a robot right now. Wish me luck with my managing efforts.

Lighting Up Las Vegas

As I was driving home, I passed by Paseo Cardiel and I found it nice to see a lot of homes lighting up this Christmas Season. And it seems to be something common on that street as neighbors are all lighting up their houses. All for the spirit of Christmas and they do no mind spending a bit more on electricity. And if you are on a tight budget and wants to keep a good watch on your electrical usage and cannot afford the extra bills to light up your house with Christmas lights, can you imagine all the electricity consumed by Las Vegas? How much electricity are they spending? I myself have no exact value for that, but with all the electricity they spend, it actually generates even more money for the city’s main income, from the tourism and convention industry. It generates a lot that businesses do not have city or state income tax since the state pays for this from these industries. It has attracted many business to set up Las Vegas companies and even people has seriously looked into Las Vegas real estate that has boomed not so long ago with an increase of population of 83% from April 1990 to April 2000.

Las Vegas at Night

This once was vast land with nothing on it and today it is one big booming cities with lights that go on and on every night. Most of America’s power supply is generated by power plants based on oil, using fossil fuels unless the area is geographical ideal for alternative sources of power. And Las Vegas just seems to be in a very ideal area.

Just by the border of Nevada and Arizona, is where the Colorado river passes and this used to overflow after the winter season as snow melts from the rocky mountains and causes problems to farming communities below. But this problem was solved into an opportunity to make used of hydro-electrical power and the Hoover dam was constructed . Construction started in 1931 and finished in 1936 and just looking at the vast large size of the dam can put you in awe. But this is also a technology marvel as well as an economy booster. When the Nevada legislature has legalized gambling in 1931, in it’s efforts to lift the state from the Great Depression, this amazing technological construction has aided the area economically. Currently the Hoover Dam powers Arizona, Nevada, and many areas of southern California, 23.4% of Hoover Dam’s electricity generated is consumed by Nevada.

The Colorado River has a portion that was like a funnel where both sites where solid rock mountains and this small area seemed to be perfect for building a dam. And when the dam sa created, it created also the largest man-made lake because of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead.

In the image above is a very far image where this big river, Colorado just looks like a thin line, and with the Hoover Dam that you can not even see well in the photo above has controlled the flow of the river making the large lake. Below is a closer satellite photograph of Lake Mead but the dam still barely visible.

You can see that large body of water all going through that small funnel like a geographical masterpiece for a hydro-electric plant.

Here is the Hoover Dam. You can see the 4 intake towers where water flows in. Then they go through very large tubes running inside the sides of the mountain rock and is distributed flowing downward to the power turbines below. Although the flow still has to be controlled, depending on weather conditions, there are diversion tunnels that can adjust the flow. Below is the plan of the Hoover Dam when it was constructed.

Hoover Dam

A very big dam, can generate large amounts of electrical power. And this power plant generates power supplied to Arizona, Nevada and several parts of Southern California and imagine the power Las Vegas Nevada needs. Excellent Engineering.

The Yahoo Dance

I have noticed Yahoo seems to be dancing more than Google these days. Google was the most popular dance before but in my stuff I am working on, Google is not even stepping on the dance floor. It is all Yahoo doing all the crazy Yahoo dance moves. My sites are moving all over the place moving back and forth from page 1 to 3 and back to 1, and back to 3. Just how many data centers does Yahoo have also? Everyone is just so concentrated on Google, I never heard of the same cults Google has in monitoring every IP address Google has.

As for MSN, it is all lowering keyword density and mixing all the link text is what I see. Too much keyword density seems to alert the MSN spam filter. Only after i lessened my keyword density have I seen a jump from beyond 10th page to page 2.

Just a year ago, I remember MSN and Yahoo was not a problem at all and it was so hard to rank in Google. I am kind of seeing something else right now. Google seems to be easier to rank for me these days. And it is harder in Yahoo and MSN. And surprisingly, I am having a harder time in MSN/Live.

Who is the hottest of them all?

Karen looks cute here - Pay Per Post

I guess many bloggers that monetize their sites know about PayPerPost. But did you know that PayPerPost themselves have their own blog? I wonder why they are not getting the opportunities themselves so they get to pay themselves. Probably a conflict of interest, and besides that is not my interest either. The only reason I check the PayPerPost blog is to compare who really is the hottest of them all. Is it Britt, Karen or Veronique? Who do you think is the hottest? And trust me, you will not get a good idea unless you go through each and every post of them with their photos and videos. Start for the very beginning of their blog and go through each post. And who ever you think is the hottest, leave a comment below. As for me, from the initial looks, it would be Britt, but as you go on and go on Karen seems to standout if ever they are placed right beside each other. But I think in the long run, when you get to know them more, and talk to them (which I have not yet, this is just my guess), if you get to talk to them well, I think Veronique will be the best conversationalist and she will end up hotter than Britt and Karen. But that is just my opinion. What do you guys think? Check their blog so you can decide too.

Arrrrgggg

I have so many pending web design/web development projects, SEO projects, and also trying to still catch up with two SEO contest. My rankings are going down, my web projects are barely done, and my PC never stopped rebooting. My PC just never stopped rebooting whenever I run WAMP. For some reason it kept rebooting my PC and I was barely getting work done. And I just had it. I squeezed the last cash I have, and the little left of my credit limits on two of my credit cards just to get a new CPU. Fixing my computer and buying new parts would be just too time consuming and I barely had the time to fix them and still get the job done.

After briefly checking prices online, I decided to go to Office Depot, Frys and BestBuy. Office Depot was mostly out of stock, also with a small variety of CPUs to choose from. BestBuy had a good selection, but just before buying at BestBuy, I checked Frys too. Frys has cheaper units that were $30 cheaper than BestBuy. But I had no credit card there and I had a BestBuy card. So I went for BestBuy.

Although I really want to buy myself an Alienware someday, I just did not have the money and I just need a CPU good enough to get the job done and last for a long time again. So I got an eMachines Intel Pentium D 805 with 1GB DDR and 200GB Hard Disk. It was not a SATA drive so it was still a bit slow. But at least it is more stable that my PC that kept rebooting. I needed the power of dual monitors too so I bought a NVidia 512MB AGP card. So now i have no money. :( And payday is still on December 20. Good thing I got Adsense, TLA, PPP, Kontera, ReviewMe, and other stuff that is keeping me alive in the meantime.

This month is my highest Adsense month so far

When I just started in Google Adsense, I was just earning a cent per click and was not even making more than $10 a month. And after 3 months I was able to read one of those Adsense ebooks on how to make like five digits a month on Adsense. Well yeah, it was a good ebook, it was outdated too. And if was teaching me how to make MFA sites, which is not allowed by Google. And I know so many people that got kicked out of the system because of MFA sites. So I decided to stay away from that and just concentrate on other ways to make money like through TLA, PPP and others. Although I have 100 domain names right now, all with a plan that goes with it on how it will make money, I never really was able to work hard on them, until I just decided one day, I am late in this race and I got to finish one website a month. And there it goes, I got 1 finished and I am surprised with the better earnings I am getting right now. So far this month is the best month and I hope it can get better as I make even better websites every month. Now back to the contest Ituloy AngSulong and get updated with the Ituloy AngSulong News.

What will happen to Poker websites when the US Government makes all online gaming/gambling sites illegal?

Poker Savvy
In the October 3, 2006 SEO Rockstars show talked about the online gabling industry. With the recent Government bill proposals, which is just a few days from approval will not allow online gambling sites in the United States, I wonder what will happen with Online Poker websites? Many affiliate sites make money out of Poker and other forms of online gambling where almost every online gamble site is powered by affiliate networks. Now if these sites will no longer be allowed in the United States, will these websites still make enough money to rely on US offshore markets? Will this online industry still be as lucrative as it is today, not only from the online gabling companies but from the affiliates as well?

Greg Boser’s guesstimate, knowing that in the proposed bill does not include horse racing, believes that many online affiliates might move their attention into that direction. Imagine if this goes out of the US, not only the online gambling websites are affected, but the online gabling affiliates as well, and also the online media selling companies are also losing a large customer base where this online media companies include Google Adwords, Yahoo Marketing and MSN as well.

In previous laws, online gambling companies were not allowed to be physically present in the United States so most of these companies are based offshore. But people from the United States could still join the games online no matter where the company is based since it is on the Internet. But in the new proposed bill which I have not read page by page, but has heard from the affiliate community, that when the new bill is passed, these online gaming companies will not even be allowed to have game players from the United States. If you love playing Party Poker, better start or continue playing while you still can and think of your poker strategy.

Why is MSN ranking me higher for this site?

Hmmm… I still can’t figure out what MSN is doing right now. It is giving this website, a higher rank for Ituloy AngSulong and not my main site? It even beat my other Ituloy AngSulong sites, the news page, and the Ituloy AngSulong downloads page. So far it looks like Seoph.org, Marh Gil and ituloyangsulong.com will be some tough competition.

Like Muscles? Like Cars?

Small muscles are not a measure of manhood. Big muscles don’t assure you get the hot chicks. But Muscle Cars can get you the hot chicks. Haven’t you noticed in car shows, where there is a muscle car, there should be some hot chick near by.

Do you like muscle cars? If the answer yes, and you are not just attracted to the hot chick car models at car shows. Then don’t fail to watch the:
